Troop 1004 Holds Court of Honor
On Sunday, October 15th, the parents of Lien Doan Bach Dang Giang Troop 1004 held an Eagle Scout Court of Honor (Court of Honor) to recognize the advancement of two of its Scouts, Tien Bui and Brandon Phan, to the rank of Eagle Scout. The Court of Honor was held at The Center at Founders Village in Fountain Valley. Also recognized were the three Girl Scouts who received the Gold Award, the highest rank in Girl Scouts of America.
The Court of Honor was hosted by Star Scouts, Winsten Nguyen and Leo Nguyen. The invocation and congratulations to the two new Eagle Scouts, on behalf of the Goldenwest District and Orange County Council, were presented by Goldenwest Chair, Charlie Osaki. The Eagle Scout medal and neckerchief were presented to Tien and Berandon by Troop 1004 Scoutmaster Charlie Vu. The Eagle Scout Charge and Benediction were announced by Tim Nguyen, Crew 1004 Committee Chair, and Nicholas Viet Nguyen, Bach Dang Giang Vice President of Pack, Troop and Crew 1004, respectively.
Key presentations were spoken in English and Vietnamese so some of the grandparents and other elderly guests, who spoke only Vietnamese, could understand and appreciate this special moment recognizing the achievement of family members and friends.
