Brian Foy, Recipient, 2025 District Award of Merit
Brian Foy, Former Scoutmaster of Troop 671, was honored with the Orange County Council, Boy Scouts of America, 2025 District Award of Merit. Historically announced at the Goldenwest District (GWD) Annual Dinner in early spring, the GWD Committee nominated Brian for the award, which was approved by Russell Etzenhouzer, Scout Executive, on behalf of the OCBSA. The DAOM was presented to Brian at the Troop 671 Court of Honor ceremony, held on Monday, June 2, 2025, at St. Hedwig church. This award recognizes the decades of servant leadership of Brian Foy, who contributed to the leadership development of hundreds of youth who were in Troop 671 and others in Scouting units throughout the GWD. Congratulations to Brian and the entire Foy Family!
